Derek Jeter smashed 2 homeruns and scored 3 times as the Jefferson Park
Penguins outscored the Tampico Stogies 7 to 6.
Jeter enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in
the 1st inning and delivered a solo blast (his 18th of the season) in the 8th
inning. Both teams totaled 8 on the afternoon.
Juan Rincon(8-4) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Greg
Aquino gained credit for his 9th save. Scott Dohmann(1-2) suffered the loss
in relief. He allowed 1 run and 1 hit in 1 and 2/3 innings.
